What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By becoming a CSA member, you are purchasing a "share" of vegetables from your local farm -- Caramore Farm at Collier Youth Services. CSA members pay for the entire season upfront (a full Caramore Farm share is $750 for 20 weeks of produce) which allows our farmers to plan and purchase for the upcoming farming season.
Each week's share will vary depending on what can be harvested, but will usually include 7-10 different types of vegetables and can comfortably feed a family of 4 (or more depending on your veggie intake). Split a share with friends and family!
By being a Caramore Farm CSA member you support our mission of bringing families and friends together over natural, locally grown food. At Caramore Farm, students from Collier High School and Middle School, Residents from Collier House and Collier Group Home have an opportunity to learn where their food comes from, how food gets from the ground to the plate, the amount of care it takes to grow fresh vegetables and fruits, and the business of farming.
