This past Thursday, January 30th, Collier Middle School’s 4th, 5th, and 6th graders got a special delivery from J.B. Hunt as a part of their Adopt-a-Class initiative.

Adopt-a-Class began as a way for J.B. Hunt drivers to nominate their child or grandchild’s school classroom for a donation of school supplies. This year, J.B. Hunt opened up this annual program to its management resulting in Michelle, a J.B. Hunt manager and grandmother of Collier Middle School student Landon, nominating Collier.

Landon kicked off the event by sitting in the driver seat of a J.B. Hunt truck and pulling on the air horn. Each student had the opportunity to sit and tour the truck. Afterwards, Michelle, along with her coworkers Keith, Sal, and Ryan distributed gifts for Collier’s classrooms that the students got to unwrap. These gifts included sets of books, therapy putty, headphones, Lego sets, construction paper, markers, and more! Each student also received a goody bag that included pencils, erasers, a note pad, and a replica J.B. Hunt truck. To end the day, J.B. Hunt treated these students to a pizza lunch.

We cannot be more thankful of J.B. Hunt for giving our students a truck load of fun!
