On Monday, February 11th, Collier School had 2 very special visitors on campus: Commissioner Repollet and Senator Cryan.

Commissioner Repollet and Senator Cryan started off their day by listening to middle school and high school students tell their story of how they got to Collier School. Some struggled with mental health and social pressures, while others had harrowing family situations. Luckily, they ended up at Collier where they have been provided the tools and support they need to grow and learn.

Afterwards, Commissioner Repollet and Senator Cryan toured the high school and middle school to get a glimpse into the amazing work our teachers and students do every day in classes such as adaptive PE, cosmetology, visual arts where they were presented with personalized reserved parking placards created by one of our students, music, and finally Collier’s kitchen where they got to sample some of the deliciousness that was being served for that day’s lunch.

Thank you to both the Commissioner and Senator for taking the time out of your day to stop by and see the great things we are doing in Collier School.
